Data Collection

BodyMetrics is a Garmin Connect IQ widget that runs entirely on your Garmin device. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers or third parties.

All data is stored locally on your device only.

Data Stored on Device

BodyMetrics stores the following data locally on your Garmin device:

  • Body measurements: body fat (%), muscle mass (kg), body water (%), bone mass (kg) — entered manually by the user
  • Measurement history: up to 90 days of recorded values per metric
  • Personal goals: target values configured by the user in the Target Editor
  • App settings and preferences

Data from Garmin Connect

BodyMetrics reads the following data from your Garmin Connect profile via the official Garmin Connect IQ API:

  • Body weight (kg) — if synced via Garmin Connect
  • Height, sex, and date of birth — from your Garmin profile

This data is read-only and is never transmitted outside your device by BodyMetrics.

Data Deletion

You can delete all data stored by BodyMetrics at any time by using the Reset All Data option in the app settings menu. Uninstalling the app from your device also removes all locally stored data.

Third-Party Services

BodyMetrics does not use analytics, advertising, or any third-party SDKs. It does not connect to external servers.

Children’s Privacy

BodyMetrics does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not transmit any data and is safe for general use.

Changes to This Policy
